Self-paced tutorials

Prefer a one on one meeting? Schedule a virtual appointment via Zoom with AT staff on our bookings page. Appointments are available Tuesday through Friday, 9am to 4pm, pending staff availability. As a reminder, you can always call the main help line at 415-405-5555 without an appointment for quick questions.

Note: In order to focus AT's support needs during the first week of the semester, one-on-one Canvas support engagements available via Bookings will be paused from August 22 through August 26, 2022. During that time, our regular support contact will be fully open and available for any Canvas or other Fall startup questions. We will resume one-on-one Canvas support engagements on August 29, 2022.

Any faculty member who has opted-in a class to use Canvas for the Summer 2022 or Fall 2022 semesters or has requested a sandbox also has access to a Canvas training course called Growing with Canvas. This course will guide faculty through using Canvas to build out a course, and is divided up into 6 distinct modules that cover different functionality within the system.

Note: Each module in "Growing with Canvas" takes an estimated 45 to 60 minutes to complete. There's approximately 8 hours worth of content in this course, but you do not need to do it all at once. "Growing with Canvas" is designed to be self-paced, and you can work through it as quickly or as slowly as you would like.

Any student officially enrolled in a class that has been opted-in to Canvas for the Summer 2022 or Fall 2022 semesters has access to a Canvas training course called Passport to Canvas. This course will guide students through using Canvas as a student.
